Who we are: Corporate structure

CDC is a plc whose sole shareholder is the Department for International Development (DfID). We have an independent Board and Management Team, bringing professional private sector investment expertise to the company.

Our shareholder, DfID, does not require a dividend from CDC. Instead, all profits are re-invested in funds throughout our target emerging markets. CDC has received no government capital for a decade.
