Who we are: The team

Richard Laing, Chief Executive,

was appointed Chief Executive in 2003. He was Finance Director for CDC from 2000 to 2003. He was previously Finance Director of De La Rue plc and a non-executive director of Camelot plc. Prior to this he worked in agribusiness in developing countries and at PriceWaterhouse Coopers.

Godfrey Davies, Chief Financial Officer,

joined CDC in 1992. His earlier career was spent with KPMG, Amalgamated Metal Corporation PLC and L M Fischel & Co Ltd.

Rod Evison, Portfolio Director, Africa,

joined CDC in 1992 and has been responsible for direct investments in CDC's power business and Africa. His earlier career was with IFC, Lloyds Bank and Bank of America.

Innes Meek, Portfolio Director, China, Malaysia & Afghanistan,

joined CDC in 1992. He is responsible for CDC's investment portfolio in China, Malaysia & Afghanistan. His earlier career was with Morgan Grenfell.

Miriam de Lacy, Director of Corporate Communications,

joined CDC in 2005 from Wellcome Trust. She has previously worked with a range of multi-nationals, government and charity organisations including Diageo, BT and the BBC.

Hywel Rees-Jones, Investments Director,

Hywel is responsible for CDC's co-investment programme, global sector funds, alternative assets and microfinance across all CDC's core geographies

Hywel rejoined CDC in September 2006 after spending two years managing Actis's West Africa business based in Nigeria. In his earlier career with CDC Hywel was based in the UK, Tanzania, Eqypt and Thailand.

Mark Kenderdine-Davies, General Counsel and Company Secretary,

Mark joined CDC in October 2006 from Gartmore Investment Management plc, where he was Legal Counsel for two years. Prior to that, he was Legal Counsel at Threadneedle Asset Management Limited. Between 1994 and 2002, he worked in Vietnam as General Counsel/Senior Investment Executive at Indochina Asset Management Limited and as Executive Director of an investment company. Mark has an LLB (Hons) from the University of Liverpool and an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Anubha Shrivastava, Portfolio Director, South & South East Asia,

Joined CDC in January 2007 and will be focusing on CDC's investment opportunities in South and South East Asia. She was previously with Performance Equity Management, LLC and before that with Hambrecht and Quist. She has a Masters in Finance from the London Business School.
