Afriflora cultivates, produces, and sells sustainably-grown roses, at three rose farms. The farms have a total surface area of around 650 hectares, which is the equivalent of 1,300 football pitches, and grow over 65 different types of roses. Cutting, planting, harvesting, processing and transport are all carried out by local employees.

We are invested in Afri Flowers Holding B.V. (Afriflora)/Flamingo Horticulture Ltd (Flamingo) through SGI Ethiopia Growth and Transformation Fund, which is managed by Schulze Global Ethiopia GP.

We do not hold direct relationships with the companies that investment funds invest in. Instead, we hold relationships directly with the fund. When investing through investment funds, CDC takes an active role as a limited partner to the fund, working with the fund manager to ensure best practices, including in environment, social and governance matters, and investment management oversight.
