Peak Timbers Ltd

Swaziland Manufacturing

We are invested in Peak Timbers Ltd through GEF Africa Sustainable Forestry Fund LP, which is managed by Global Environment Facility.

We do not hold direct relationships with the companies that investment funds invest in. Instead, we hold relationships directly with the fund. When investing through investment funds, CDC takes an active role as a limited partner to the fund, working with the fund manager to ensure best practices, including in environment, social and governance matters, and investment management oversight.

Peak Timbers is a plantation forest and sawmilling company with operations located in Swaziland. The company owns a total property base of approx 31,000 hectares, of which 22,000 hectares are plantable, and a sawmill designed to process both pine and eucalyptus.
