Future Consumer Limited is one of the largest organised Food and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) players in India with a pan-India presence in both manufacturing and distribution. FCL operates across the value chain, supporting thousands of jobs both directly and indirectly, in sourcing, manufacturing, branding, marketing and distribution.

Our investment

In September 2018 CDC made a $31.4 million debt investment into Future Consumer.

Expected impact

The investment will help FCL to enter into cross-sector partnerships to drive innovation across its supply chains and distribution network in a way that creates commercial value and improves the livelihoods of farmers and underserved rural consumers.
