Director and Head of Financial Services Debt
Ndaba Mpofu joined CDC (based in Johannesburg) as Director in the Financial Institutions Equity team on 9 January 2017. He subsequently assumed the position of Head, Financial Institutions Debt in October of the same year. He is responsible for managing CDC’s debt investment program into the financial sector, which includes banks and non-bank financial institutions across our geographies.
Previously, Ndaba worked for the International Finance Corporation where he was Principal Investment Officer in the Financial Institutions Group. Prior to that, he worked in the private equity and corporate banking sectors across Southern Africa, including with the Standard Chartered Bank Group, from 1986 until 2012.
