Country Director, Bangladesh
Rehan Rashid joined CDC as the Country Director for Bangladesh in September 2019.
Previously, Rehan worked for the IFC where he spent over 10years working in a number of senior roles in Bangladesh, most recently as Resident Representative and Country Head for Nepal. Prior to his experience with the IFC, Rehan worked ICICI Bank Limited, the Dubai Islamic Bank and HSBC amongst others. He holds a M.Sc in Economics from the International Islamic University (I.I.U.I) and is an alum of the INSEAD Global Business Leadership Program.
As Country Director for Bangladesh, Rehan leads all aspects of CDC’s activities in the country and works closely with the Asia and London offices to drive the country strategy. Other activities Rehan leads include, originating deals, supporting in execution, portfolio management and value creation; as well as building CDC’s brand in Bangladesh and managing stakeholder activity.
